Bewitched On WWME-CA (Colorized)

I haven't seen the 5pm show, but on the 7pm show, it appears they are showing a colorized version of it?

I don't care for it. I guess I could turn the color off on my TV set --->LOL<--- and that would solve it.

Are they doing it to the 5pm slot as well and I wonder why they choose to air this version of it.

You do realize that a majority of the Bewitched episodes were produced in color, don't you? I think maybe only the first season was in b&w. It was one of ABC's first color series. I was not aware that any of the b&w episodes had been colorized.....

No this is colorized, you can tell colorized from the real thing.

Besides I hardly think TVLand, Nick At Nite and every other single TV station in the world would have gone to the trouble to broadcast COLOR prints of the birth of Tabitha in B&W for 30 years ongoing...
______________

The first two seasons (1964/5 and 1965/6) were in b&W. The show went to color in the fall of 1966, which is when pretty much everything in prime time went to color.

Well now they are back to B&W so they didn't have many colorized episodes or someone complained
______________

some of the original episodes that originally aired in B&W have been colorized. The DVD's I saw at my local Wal-mart Supercenter has the first season colorized rather in B&W like it was originally released. As for Me-TV, it won't be a success if programs are being aired out-of-sequence. I hate that. But I haven't been able to complain about that as WWME-CA has been difficult to get in in Gary. The warm weather affects the signal in Gary, and is worse this year than this time last year because someone mentioned that the tilt was removed. If that's the case, then that explains the worse picture from this time last year.
Edited by dave73 on 07/05/05 05:40 AM.

Though fans are supposed to have a choice on which way to watch "Bewitched", as Sony released the first season in color and B&W (sold separately).

Didn't the Wal-Mart offer both versions?
