BEWITCHED (the TV series): Another Topic

I just bought the DVD of the first season (in color). What are your thoughts about the colorization of shows oiginally in black and white? I'm undecided. I watched the first episode and thought the color was fine, but just knowing it was originally in B&W bothered me some, like I should have stayed true to the original and bought the B&W set (which I still may).

Does anyone know if there's any basis used in the colorization process (the color selection, etc)? Or is it simply left to the imagination of the person adding the color? In this case, the quality was good. It didn't have that artificial look the way some older movies do when colorized, such as "A Christmas Carol" and "It's A Wonderful Life." Another reason the added color wasn't very noticeable was probably because the majority of the series was, in fact, in color; so we're used to it. It might be a totally different experience watching, say, "Leave It To Beaver" or "The Munsters" in color.
