Beyonce - "Irreplaceable" is Smooth Jazz?

I thought it was rather off-the-wall when NYC's "CD 101.9" played "Every Breath You Take" by the Police and called it "Smooth Jazz"... but now I've heard one that tops it all! Chicago's "Smooth Jazz" WLFM-LP, an analog Channel 6 LPTV station repurposed as an 87.7 FM radio station, played Beyonce's "Irreplaceable". Obviously there are numerous pop-R&B artists and songs with legitimate jazz crossover, but this one is quite an extreme stretch, don't you think?

WLFM is not a smoothjazz, contemporary jazz, instrumental jazz station. What you hear is the brilliant sound of Smooth AC. (This post is laden with truth and sarcasm)

Nock

 Not on my station, my friend. Another BA-inspired vocal. Now you know why they are actually proud of the fact some low wattage FM and AM stations still carry their product on weekends, despite the fact these stations save their peak listening hours for programming that can actually generate some ad revenue for them. If these geniuses can lose a soft market like Salisbury/Ocean City, MD, which is a prime demo for this format, I am at a loss to explain why anyone would waste electricity to transmit their feed.

That song isn't smooth anything, lol. I hate the way these corporate radio giants are getting away with ruining formats and music for us die hard fans. We have to definitely continue to support guys like AC who put together an excellent product on the Internet, compared to the garbage that is played on the radio these days.

KTWV even plays Irreplaceable in rotation. When it first came out it had mad spins on more Urban AC, Mainstream Urban's and Rhythmics in L.A. where I live such as KIIS FM(Top 40), Power 106(Rhythmic Top 40), KJLH(Urban AC) and KDAY(Then Urban at the time but flipped back to Classic Hip Hop in 2009) in 2006-07. KTWV started playing Irreplaceable in 2008 if memory serves. KTWV is two hip hop tracks which is The Fugees Killing Me Softly and PM Dawn's Set A Drift on Memory Bliss. IMO it fits Smooth AC radio because 94.7 The Wave is now Soft Based Urban AC these days. The Fugees Killing Me Softly was a crossover hit on Urban AC KJLH when it first came out in 1995-96 but KJLH played it without Wyclef's Intro for years until reason times. Beyonce is a crossover artist for real. Her New song I'm not feeling.

I'm not feelin' the new one either and in the Zumba dance fitness community all the other instructors are going nuts over it...I feel like she tried to hard to redo "Single Ladies" and that song is just a once in a career type thing. The reviews on iTunes weren't that good either..glad someone else feels that way too
