I have had some amazing success with a little Part 15 transmitter made by Chez Radio. It is mounted on a caboose near an antique mall and it runs (most of the time) a program length commercial loop for the mall, and it's vendors. Really an amazing little unit that gets out quite well in about a 1-2 mi radius from the mall. Processing makes it clean, loud and quite listenable. Signal is also used for special promotions (craft shows..car shows etc) I run it in trade for RV space, and space in the caboose for a small production studio. Crazy station reminds me of WAPE in it's technical sound.
Does Biff Burger in St. Pete still do it's weekly car show? Could they support a small radio outlet, and eventually stream some real oldies online interspersed with spots for the restaurant? Might be a cool marketing tool that would cost nearly nothing, and generate some renewed interest.
