Big 12, Fox Sports reach TV deal

They need to change the name of the conference as their are only 10 teams in it and not 12. Nebraska and Colorado both left for other conferences. Can't name it Big 10 as that is already used.
 
The Big 10 has 12 teams and the Big XII has 10 teams*. Those two conferences have said they intend to keep their present names. I doubt the Pac-10 will change names either.

* Effective at the end of June

Already has according to various and sundry news columns. They are all referring to it as the PAC-12 and ASU has the PAC-12 logo on their new helmets.

The Pac-10 officially became the Pac-12 late last year or early this year - not sure of the exact date.

The Pac 10 HAS ALREADY changed its name to the Pac 12. Why? It made as much sense as the Big 8 changing its name to the Big 12 all those years ago. It doesn't make sense for the other two to swap names because they're both iconic institutions in sports.
