Big 89 Memorial Day Rewind

Now if only we could coax Warren to shut down the IBOC noise generator for the entire thing (not just at night) and turn the AM stereo back on... that would be truly AWESOME!

Actually, WLS is in stereo at night. They light up the st on my car radio. The programming may be mono but the pilot is on.

I didn't realize that they still broadcast in stereo.

Yes, they've been in stereo at night for awhile, but Art Bell doesn't sound any different in stereo than in mono.

What I would like is to have the entire weekend-- day and night-- in stereo.

Does anybody have any connections that could put a "bug" in someone's ear over there?

I knew that they were broadcasting in stereo years ago, but didn't they shut it off for awhile?

They did shut it off for awhile, until (as I understand it) Warren could scrape together the time and money to bypass the IBOC box and put the AM stereo back in the circuit at night.

I was listening to WLS Friday in my '91 Jeep. They light up the stereo indicator and are definatly in Stereo
-as I heard sparation on promos and bumper music.

. . . or will they move the Rewind to the FM side at The Big 94.7 ???

Let's just hope they have it and if they do I hope that for a change they give some of the 60s guys a shot.
How can they not include Dick Biondi a WLS original?
