Big Al Law

Does anyone know what happened to Big Al... He had the afternoon shift on WUBE in Cincinnati when Drake was doing the programming in 1968. I've got great airchecks of him, and Gary Corey, and the great Bwanna Johnny. I heard Law was in Texas several years ago, but my source didn't know anything else. Can anyone help?

I believe he's PD at KTRS in St. Louis.
action central

he's in St.Louis, and in between there and Texas, he's been around, for sure.
Maine, Boston, New York, and more. a solid programmer and still enthralled with the biz.

do a search on Al Brady Law - that'll help fill in the blanks for ya.

just got canned in st louis- was in the trades monday i think

And the street rumor has his coming to Cleveland to reunite with his friend Kevin Metheny.

Don't know how accurate they are. Law said he's looking for his next challenged radio station that he can make great.

Metheny is with Clear Channel-Cleveland, and as far as I can tell, there's neither any seriously challenged stations in Cleveland, nor is there money in the CC pot to convince him to come.

Unless he wants to multi-station PD. I think the opening for WMJI-WGAR and/or WMVX PD is still available.

I did receive a short email from him after I posted. He has a great tribute to Bwanna Johnny on Bwanna's memorial site when they worked together at WUBE when Cincinnati had good radio stations. Keep me informed guys. Thanks.

If you are talking about Big Al BROCK, he is the PD here in the Nashville Market at 97.1 WRQQ-FM a Cumulus Media Station. He first came here last year when it was Oldies 97.1 and he fliped the format the 97.1 WRQQ ROCK AND ROLL HITS???? and then they fired the Legendary Coyote and cathy for bob and tom...

al brady law is the guy

got turfed in st. louis a month or so ago

A HUGE AMEN on Big Al Law when he ruled the roost in Cincinnati on 1230 WUBE. That was just about the finest Top 40 Radio I've ever heard. I have such fond memories of listening to Boss Radio at night with it's 250 watts at 7 miles. Yes, there was skip in the background, but WUBE with interference beat WSAI's 5KW 3 miles from me when it came to good radio. If Big Al read's this, thank you man...you made a 14 year old very happy with his radio in 1967 or so...
