Big band fans... need help identifying a song!

Not long ago I watched an episode of PBS' "American Experience" dealing with the New England/"Long Island Express" Hurricane of 1938 and there is quite a bit of period big-band music used as background music. I know next to nothing about big band, so I'm wondering if someone can identify by title and artist the piece of music that begins playing at 43:20? It is an absolutely eerie piece of music to be playing over footage of the destruction from the hurricane.

Any help in identifying this song would be appreciated!

That's "Nightmare" by Artie Shaw

I'm kinda shocked that I do not have this song on my part 15 AM. I recognized it immediately.

Not only was "Nightmare" an important recording for the late Mr. Shaw, he used this original composition as his theme song on hundreds of radio broadcasts.

Not your usual theme song, but Mr. Shaw was no ordinary bandleader.......
