Big Boy's Neighborhood Morning Show on Q-95.5 ( KRRQ) Lafayette, begining July 28 and Power 102.9 (KKND ) New Orleans, begining August 4.
 
Remember that Old School 102.9 swapped with Whatever 106.7. I believe it is the new Power 102.9 to which our spelling-challenged original poster refers.
 
Doc is right, LBJ and crew moved to more power on 106.7 (call now is KMEZ) ... Callsign of KKND moved to 102.9 and new format took over during 4th of July weekend and was announced Previously about Big Boy's Neighborhood coming there

Kind of curious about the shake up in Lafayette though to bring Big Boy there
 
Big Boi in New Orleans? You mean to tell me of all the Urban and Urban AC stations the only live show is LBJ on the Old School outlet? The younger demo has no local talent. A waste!!!

These Programmers and Management are 'programming to fail'. Someone has to come to the plate and invest in people.
 
Clear Channel had live,local, and pretty well successful morning show on it's number 1 WQUE Q93. However reportedly because it was cheaper, they canned him and he's on a Black owned AM station doing wakeup there

Citadel actually is one of the few running local radio shows on FM in the morning that aren't in the news/talk format in NOLA. Entercon has 1 station (WLMG in addition to news/talker WWL), Citadel has 2 (WDVW/KMEZ), Mikey does his own show on WTIX, and Clear Channel has only it's news/talker WRNO local.

Not sure on the exact run out but (WYLD) Tom Joyner (I believe Chicago), but (KKND) Big Boy's in L.A., (WQUE) Steve Harvey I believe is NYC, ....3 are from Texas.... (WEZB) Kidd Kraddick is from Dallas, (WKBU) Walton and Johnson are from Houston as well as (KYRK) Rod Ryan. Oh and forgot (WMTI) is sat fed oldies from New York, and (WNOE) is Big D and Bubba from Nashville.
