Big Celebrations Taking Place In Selma Alabama

WALX has just turned 50 years old. Details here: Dallas Co. radio station celebrates Golden Anniversary - WAKA 8 This radio station inspired me to get into the business and starting in February, I begin 8 years of broadcasting, as our lone and longest running LPFM radio station. My plans are to keep things the same but do some upgrading in the bedroom/office, sometime next month, with the purchase of a new Computer, Router and Printer. More new songs are still on the way. Still entertaining the Facebook page, once I upgrade in the bedroom/office. This radio station is still a dream come true for me and I'm not ready to retire yet. I may be only 50 some odd years old but still have the radio bug in me and enjoy doing this.

P.S. And in March...I begin my 2nd year streaming the radio station. Check us out at wpjb.org, if you haven't already and enjoy.

Getting ready to celebrate my 8th year as a LPFM radio provider. We start the celebrating next month. And yes...Dan is going more international with the music selections. Have some tunes already and intend to get more from performers who don't live in the USA. My goal now is to play more than just USA styled singers, since I reach the whole world with this broadcast.

P.S. Don't be surprised if you soon hear some Gospel that has a Celtic or some other non American musical sound.

And...I still intend to add more of the new songs to the mix and finish adding all the CD's I have sitting on my bed and Computer stand, the ones looking up towards the celling. Many of these adds will be local singers, some more of the newest releases, more of the independent style performers, more tunes to the legendary Southern Praise program and a few that might touch on having that international sound, I want to spotlight.

Now for the latest...After many months of waiting and Praying, the official web site for wpjb.org is almost completed. Stay tuned and check often. Hope to have it online, by next month, when I turn 8 years old. :)

P.S. No longer will you just see a live 365 box only. You'll also see info about the broadcast, how to contact us and our official logo. Excited is the Word! :)

The only "big surprise" I got when I clicked on the link above was a big white screen with black text asking me for a donation, and listing a mailing address where I can send a check (when I haven't written a paper check in about 5 or maybe 6 years). Was that supposed to be what the link above was for?

Really, one can just set up a Paypal account to accept debit and credit cards. I have used that kind of payment system myself to bill advertisers of one of my internet radio stations. It works well enough for my purposes.

That's the way I wanted the site for now. Due to recent id theft, I no longer do online transactions. Sorry about that.

Dan <><

P.S. In due time, I intend to add more to the site. This is just getting my foot in the door.

Not sure what you find so humorous concerning what I posted, RDP. Just trying to provide my experience. Most people will not send checks or $ orders. My advertisers asked me if they could pay me with a credit/debit card which is why i set up the Paypal acct.

Just trying to play it safe. Had around three incidents of id theft, over the past few years and doing what I can to avoid it again.

Yes I am tax exempt. My now deceased lawyer helped me obtain that status, a few years ago. I keep it updated regularly.

If I need to file for one, intend to get it done. My lawyer never told me about that. All he did was help me file for the tax exempt status thing. Thanks for bringing it up.

P.S. Wishing you a nice day.
