Look for Reno to have big changes as KUUB overtakes KBUL soon. Also with Wilkes getting ready to take control of the Next Media stations, two formats will change and all this during a rating period. Heads are just beginning to turn and roll in Reno! Stay tuned!

would you care to elaborate further on any of these changes, specifically the format flips? any hints?

the new Wilkes cluster includes two heritage Reno stations....surely they wouldnt touch those?

are there really any holes in that already over-saturated market for any new formats?

Smooth Jazz will go away. It's never made money in Reno. Wilkes likes to "play", so they will probably blow up KTHX....due to the fact the ratings were not kind this time around...and that's all that has ever mattered to Wilkes...the last book....Someone will go Spanish AC due to the large and ever growing Hispanic population in Reno. What's the format of the CC in Vegas on 101.9? That's the hole in Reno.

There is not enough population to support a Spanish AC.

101.9 is Regional Mexican, just like all the Spanish stations already in Reno. It is not a hole.
