Big City 101.3 Off The Air?

Is Big City 101.3 Off The Air? I Usually Get It But Today It Was All Static Even On The Online Stream. Now Only If They Can Get Choice 102.9 Off The Air Because Thats The Frequency I Use For My 25mw LP Station. The Frequency Iv'e Used For Over 4 Years.

It must have gone off sometime last night after I heard them earlier in the day, and it seems like they're still off today.

On last night, in stereo with multipath outside City of Boston. Big City is a good example of what you give up in coverage with 1kw or less when you go stereo from mono.

Part of the reason they have multipath may be because their antenna is not on a tall building or high tower like a legitimate station. If their antenna was higher up, they could probably cover as much ground with less multipath because less low-level structures and terrain would block the signal.

Was listening to Big City last nite on the ride home. Their signal has improved from 1st days of stereo. Sounds to me, they got a 1st phone engineer to adjust their stereo signal, sounded too good of an improvement for "amteaur home brew adjustment.

Even the Route 128 stations have multipath in downtown Boston.

Even the stations from the Pru have multipath in some spots in downtown Boston among all the buildings! I've even heard multipath on Pru stations in the Back Bay almost right under the Pru, where a lot of their signal is going overhead!

Does 101.3 seem stronger than ever to anyone else today? I almost thought WWBB's IBOC was off, but I turned the antenna down that way, and it was still there. If they haven't increased power, maybe they've changed to a different antenna with some of a horizontal element. I've never heard them this strong down here on the south shore on the horizontally polarized APS-13 before.

I'm also seeing the RDS for the first time.

i was enjoying them from down here in walpole today and yesw it was in stereo!!! they had a commercial for a live event for womans legs, the ad states shaved legs only lol

Quite a few months ago, listening to Big City, around winter, they had a competition and callers were calling in, and the winner accidentally dropped the f bomb live on the air! the deejays were like "Whoah! Whoah!" and the caller, a female, was like "oh I'm sorry!" ahahah i got a kick out of that :D

and by the way, the online stream is a simulcast of their over the air signal, so when they're off 101.3, theyre off the net
