I assume as long as what they are doing works (I.E. controls costs & builds a sellable audience), they won't change their current setup.
I happened to listen this afternoon & heard a "local" break. If I wasn't aware of their system, I would have believed he was live & local... even plugged a news update coming "at 4," not "at the top of the hour."
I know there could be numerous things said to clearly identify the break as being live and local, but I'm curious what you would expect to hear / sound different if the jocks were live & local? What, to you, is "missing" from the station because it's not live & local?
(Of course, whether or not what you're missing would bring in enough audience / advertisers to justify the cost could be a whole different story...)
