KQBZ has had a great format that is very popular in Brownwood, but its signal struggles to penetrate buildings. KXYL has a great format (more local talk programming than many major market news/talkers), but the revenue strength has been on KQBZ. I don't see a financial windfall coming from this... so if the swap does take place, it will be to better serve the community with a strong-signalled A/C format.
I might have done things differently, BUT I have the utmost respect for the ownership and management of these stations and know that they will make highly intellegent decisions.
