All right, I know I'm going overboard talking about our favorite new morning show.
The Ford used-car contest--excuse me, the Ford pre-owned car contest, where the guys award a car valued at up to $10,000 every Friday, is not a Clear Channel national contest, but it is a Big D & Bubba combined-stations contest. Listeners write in and tell why they deserve a car.
Big D & Bubba have been reading entries, and it's sounding like a "Wish Upon a Star" Christmas thing (e.g. "I'm disabled and earn $500 per month. I also have to care for my grandchildren, and I need a car to go to my doctor appointments.") I don't know about you, but I'm not in a mood to hear these things in May. I didn't realize this was going to turn into a hardship contest. Why couldn't they read letters that say, "I love going to the beach but don't want to put miles on my first car?"
