Big D & Bubba

I listened to Big D & Bubba this morning and was pleasantly surprised. They sounded good. And if they weren't live (albeit from Nashville), they sure fooled me. They were talking about specific traffic snarls.

My question is...why are they on from 5-8? Maybe they have obligations at 9, but wouldn't it make sense for them to be on until 9? Will this change in the future?

Rodney wrote in his AJC blog this week the they were doing their show from Atlanta this week, I also heard Jack Ingram in studio, and it didn't sound canned. Big D and Bubba even mention that after his in studio performance the clsest Ingram would get to Atlanta for awhile were performances in Statesboro and somewhere else down south. They even took a local call when I was listening.
Good question on the 5-8 time slot. Maybe they figure that from here on out Big D and Bubba won't be live and local, they'll have Paul Koffee start earlier to give the listeners the live and local flavor. Who knows?
I personally was hopinng the Bull would put together a local morning show, since they seemed to do that with the other 2 slots. With CC's track record with syndicated shows like John-boy and Billy and Bob and Tom (96rock), I'm suprised they are even trying this. Atlanta is a tough sell when it comes to syndicated morning shows.

The only reson they got the job is because of Hunnicutt working with them in Nashville. Yet another dumb move from all the brains at CC... I live in Nashville and they are unbearable to listen to.

Cut and paste radio fail fast and get on to the next format!

There seem to be plenty of Bubbas in radio. Big D and Bubba, Rick and Bubba, Bubba the Love Sponge, Bubba Bo...

And there are a lot of BUBBAS in management also. :-[
