FIRST MEDIA RADIO, LLC is selling Southern Gospel WJLS-A and Country WJLS-F (THE BIG DAWG 99.5)/BECKLEY, WV to WEST VIRGINIA RADIO COMPANY OF RALEIGH, LLC for $4.5 million plus a time brokerage agreement before closing.

WJLS is a grandfathered class B with a large signal. You can hear it just about everywhere in southern WV, western VA, and even NC. WVRC always wanted one of the big signals in southern WV, either WJLS in Beckley or WHAJ in Bluefield (Class C 100kW). The license alone would be worth several million.
