Big Dog 106

Spring seems to be a good time for DX stations. I picked up Big Dog 106.1 from Beaumont, Tx over off 1604 and Babcock rd. over by UTSA. It wasn't real clear but I manage to get a descent signal in my car.

KIOC is the easiest of the Beaumont signals to reach over here in Houston. KQXY is probably the second easiest. I have been surprised that I haven't picked up the Corpus Christi stations over here yet. KOUL wreaked havoc on KIOL this time last year, and KFTX did the same to KFNC.<P ID="signature">______________

It is great that you folks can pick up all these stations from far away on the northside. Hell, I can't seem to get a good signal from KISS (99.5) In Northwest San Antonio. Maybe I should move to Corpus or something.

Yeh it's hard to get in 99.5 on my alarm clock or my stereo at work. i'm on the NW side as well and local reception (except in my car) sucks. It has to do with the 101.5 pirate station. It must be close to my house because my '74 Pioneer SX 636's signal strength meter hits the side, i mean it's locked in.
