Big D's Top 9 At 9

Tonight's 9 at 9 feature highlighted Three Dog Night's Cory Wells' 67th birthday. The problem is that (according to the web sites I use) today is Three Dog Night's Danny Hutton's birthday. No mention of Cory anywhere. Two of the sites I check indicate that Hutton was born in 1942 and 1 site shows he was born in 1946. I tried to call Big D several times and the line was busy. Makes me wonder if Grahamme is VT'd. This is a fairly significant blunder, I think.
Right church, wrong pew;
or
Rut-ro, Roarge!!

BTW, here are the sites I check. . .

That's a pretty big oops, although it's always nice to hear Three Dog Night songs other than the four or five that are on the everyday playlist get a spin, no matter whose birthday it is. As for Grahame, I thought it was a given that she's voicetracked. It would make for an awfully long day at the office if she weren't, being the program director and all. Note that the Top 9 suggestions are supposed to be e-mailed, as are the songs listeners want to hear during the "insomniac hour" of 11 to midnight, and she never gives the studio phone number for requests.

Thank GOODNESS I have you to point out my embarrassing mistakes and blunders to everyone on this board, Jim Brochu!  What would I do without you?  Yes, it was Danny Hutton's birthday.  Yes, I said Corey Wells.  You win!

I think the only thing I've won here is the realization that I've probably compromised a very nice acquaintance. I certainly meant no personal attack (although I guess it looks that way). Not only is Grahame a terriffic air talent with a full plate of additional responsibilities, she is also a wonderful Mom. (Want proof? Just read her blog.)
I apologize for my significant blunder.

This should serve as a reminder that people that are slammed on this board might actually read it. We all make mistakes in this business. Just last week, I mentioned "Coming up next, a song by the Dave Clark Five - Do Wah Diddy". Now I know, and have known for over 40 years - that Do Wah Diddy is by Manfred Mann. Why did I say DC 5? Brain fart? Mini Stroke? Too Much Coffee? I will never know. Did you ever make a wrong turn headed to a place that you have been to a million times? It is the SAME THING. We are all human.

I've known Grahame for well over 20 years. She's smart, knows radio inside and out, and the business is in her blood. Please cut her, and everyone else some slack. If y'all are gonna be critical, be nice about it.

Have a great day!

Someone needs to check his spelling! It's Grahame not Grahmme.
As you can now see we all make mistakes. (should I have ended with a period or an exclamation mark (exclamation point)?)

Right church, wrong pew; or Rut-ro, Roarge!!
Does this apply to your blunder? Sorry, had to add it!

I like Ms. Winters and all that, but I still can't get used to her being on at night. I've been a DRC-FM listener for years and for years a male jock was doing nights. I remember Glenn O, Jack Carney, and Mike Stevens all doing 7-Midnite at one point or another. I guess it's unusual because I don't remember any female jocks on DRC-FM during the week. On Sunday nights there used to be a female jock by the name of Gay Johnson. I liked her.

Is it really criticism to point out that a fact is incorrect? I don't think Ms. Winters should take this personally. Many people including myself have a reflex to correct misinformation. Grahame come back here and forgive the guy!

Been there. Along these lines, I'm going to call myself out on one. I once backselled "Last Song" by a MAN named Edward Bear. Edward Bear was a Toronto-based Canadian pop-rock group. :-[
