Big Fish in a Little Pond

Just got back from a day in Rhode Island, so I had to read the Providence Journal with my first cup of coffee.
Interesting that John Depetro is getting the big stories down there AND is on the front page of the paper.

(Who better to interview a senior citizen who mumbled the N word than the guy who came up with Fat Lesbian?)

So it all worked out for John. WRKO probably hasn't learned what happens when you take a fish out of water (Finneran a case in point), DePetro learned that there's no place like home, and all is well for John.

Would Howie Carr work in Phoenix Arizona? He appears to be a one trick pony and this is his big moment so he'd better grab all the contract and cash that he can. Keep in mind, people actually LIKED Jerry Williams, and look how the industry treated HIM. Howie's not making many friends, so he'd better take the money and make like the Steve Miller band....RUN.

Post Script:
Citadel Broadcasting Company have any affiliation with WPRO?? Depetro's on the front page where in Boston it would be a Clea Simon blurb on page 34...

It's a natural front page story, because this geezer is a former CEO of a F-500 Co. and used the N-word. And he apparently bought the naming rights to a law school (isn't that nice). I don't think the paper cares much for DePetro, and vice versa.
Anyway, it sounds like the two Pisanos will get on nicely.

That was a brain lapse; I meant to say does Citadel Broadcasting have anything to do with Providence Journal

error posted above:
"Citadel Broadcasting Company have any affiliation with WPRO??"

Journal sold their paper--as well as communications div.-- to Dallas based Belo.
I'm kind of surprised people like the "Today" haven't picked up on this. DePetro probably sent out some sound bites. Combine that with the U getting demands to sandblast the name off the side of a building, makes for a story MSM could exploit nicely.
