"Big Jay" Sorensen on The Radio Racket

He was let go from Greater Media's WJRZ earlier this week, and tonight he'll be with us on The Radio Racket.

Big Jay has pretty much done it all. He helped get NJ 101.5 off the ground, worked at WNBC, and worked here in town at WPHT & WWDB with former co-host Hillarie Barsky. And that only scratches the surface!

Jay is a great storyteller, and he's got tons of them! It should be a quick moving 10 o'clock hour on the big-time audio broadcast this week.

If you have any questions for Jay Sorensen, give us a buzz, or drop us an e-mail or an IM! Hope to see you tonight at 10pm!

Can you PLEASE make Radio Racket available via podcast so we don't need to be tied to our PC to hear it?

There are a number of free hosting services for podcasts. It wouldn't cost a cent.

You're not the only person to suggest this. It's something that George and I talk about frequently and just haven't been able to iron out yet.

Please drop me an e-mail, with George on copy, with some info about the sites you're talking about.

Thankfully, 'Internet Radios' are now coming on the market, and Ford and Microsoft recently announced a deal that will make Internet access available in all Ford models by 2008 at the latest. The revolution has started my friends, so the days of being "tied to you PC" to hear our show will be a thing of the past in the not too distant future!

Or you can make your own podcast: Download Replay Radio or one of those audio grabbing programs, play the stream live or during one of its replays, go out, get wasted, do whatever you gotta do, come home, save the file at 24kb (it's a mono stream so it don't make a difference) listen and enjoy. Of course, figuring out when the show starts and finishes is always the tricky part.

good stuff. I always liked Jay...great jock, good talk show host, nice guy. I'm sure he will land on his feet.
