Wow...anyone hear this? (Anyone got tape?)

I didn't hear about it myself, or got tape on here, but here is Robert Feder's take on it https://www.robertfeder.com/2019/04/11/big-john-howell-health-scare-alarms-wls-listeners/ , you will have to look for it, but I will imagine it has to be on podcast at http://www.wlsam.com/john-howell/

Those are classic stroke symptoms, and the proper thing to do is call 911 immediately (the ambulance, not the TV show).

This could have been a valuable teaching moment for the audience. Instead, they guy ignored the symptoms and put himself in real danger.

Everyone, whether old or young, should know the symptoms and be ready to act immediately.

Symptoms of a mini stroke may include one or more of the following:

Weakness or numbness in your arms and/or legs, usually on one side of the body.
Dysphasia (difficulty speaking)
Dizziness.
Vision changes.
Tingling (paresthesias)
Abnormal taste and/or smells.
Confusion.
Loss of balance.

Big John had several of the symptoms. He did not do the right thing.

I feel that it should be pointed out, whether people are in the know or not that John Howell has diabetes like the late Ron Santo, and I bet a lot of WLS listeners who ever is left will agree with you, I don't listen to WLS anymore, even since they only have no only 2 local hosts and the rest of their pogromming is filled by syndicated hosts. But it sounds like good decisions was not made by John Howell himself, or his co-workers, which would be producer(s) that he has and even people that work in WLS news room as well. And I would like to point out that his show airs fro 2 hours between 5 and 7 during the week. And I don't know if WLS program director was at the studios during the time, as their program director is Stephanie Tichenor who was recently hired from rival WGN Radio https://www.robertfeder.com/2019/03...unds-staff-new-program-boss-afternoon-anchor/ and Lauren Cohn is the anchorwoman during afternoon drive. John Howell rested his office for a bit and most have thought he felt good enough to drive home rather to a hospital, so it is just not him, and even if he was taken off right away and to a hospital, who could have filled in on a short notice, as this was nearing the end of his show this past Tuesday.
