BIG KFI/CC MONDAY 7 AM ANNOUNCEMENT

Wayne Resnick let the cat out of the bag on his show today. Think this must be it.
Weekend schedule changes. They have given David Cruz a show on Sunday from 6-8.
They are giving another new show to someone else on Saturday. Don't remember his name.
Thinking KFI caved into the diversity request by hiring a hispanic. Thinking the other guy must be black, but I could be wrong.
David Cruz was on with Wayne for his show today.

Think I just remembered the name of the new Saturday KFI host they are going to announce.
It's Morris O'Kelley, who is black man. He was hosting some diversity program on KTLK that was in response to the J&K situation.
So.. They have 2 "non whites" shows now on KFI to bring on the diversity.

Maybe this has something to do with Ryan Seacrest of sister station KIIS-FM making a "major announcement" on NBC tomorrow morning? Will he host a contest giving one lucky Los Angelean the opportunity to replace Rush Limbaugh? "K-F-Idol"? :

So I actually listened to Resnick's hour with David Cruz, and you all have left out that Wayne teased ANOTHER big KFI announcement that was supposed to air on Handel's show on Monday. This announcement was supposed to have something to do with music, and I assume it was completely separate from the announcement of the new weekend lineup. (Actually, the title of this thread alludes to it, but I think you all have mistakenly assumed that the announcement on Handel's show was the SAME announcement that Wayne made.) So what was it, if anyone actually listened Monday at 7AM?
I hope clear channel gets rid of david cruz on ktlk. I usually like local compared to syndicated but in this case i miss the wrap.

His Job is safe. No one listens to him or to that station. John and Ken completely dominate that time slot. Radio is a funny business. If you are so bad and bring in absolutely no listeners you somehow are safe and you keep going with no threat to change. Look at KABC, most of the hosts (Larry Elder, Peter Tilden, John Phillips) cannot bring in listeners even if they paid money to them and yet year after year they keep going on. Dennis Prager and his ilk on that other station also barely register a blip and yet year after year they go on. So I think David Cruz will be the same. No listeners but he will continue to chime on year after year by talking to himself.
