Larry is looking to buy stations for the right price...... In May, He purchased two in Portland from Paul Allen.

Didn't he just make a deal to buy the CBS Portland cluster?

When is this meeting taking place?

Why can't you let the details out yet?

Undoubtedly, BossJock1947's post is yet another attempt by him to appear as if he is on the "inside." However, he has never predicted anything correctly in his numerous other posts in which he tries to impress everybody with his "inside" knowledge. I can refer you to the posts he has made about Howard Stern's future, personnel changes at WOGL-FM and other topics. Not once - not even one solitary time - has his insight and industry knowledge proven accurate. In other words, he has no insight. It also seems as if the people he claims to know don't know him. BossJock1947 would be hilarious if he wasn't so sad.

You're wrong. I predicted Don Imus going to Fox. I predicted Howard Stern possibly moving back into terrestrial radio which he did talk about.

I predicted NOW-FMs dismal ratings. I predicted the demise of CBS-FM to Jack-FM

I am the Truth. I am the Way

Yes, and just about everyone in radio knows he is kicking the tires at the CBS San Diego cluster... since CBS announced about two years ago they were only interested in staying in the top 10 to 15 markets.

So this big news is no news at all.

I hate tire kickers

Farid is meeting with anyone and everyone. Everyone in Washington DC knows that he's meeting with Bonneville to sell the former ABC stations there. In fact all the former ABC stations are on the market. It's been reported in several trade outloets. I'm hearing about meetings regarding Atlanta. Wilson doesn't want to get too big too fast. He's focusing mainly on west coast stations, and buying a few in San Francisco would be useful to his strategy. Farid happens to have a few in stock. But I doubt he'll clear out the whole inventory, nor will he sell to any one single buyer.

Well, anyone who read Citadel's last SEC filing - even if the SEC didn't - knows that something isn't right.

Doubtful. Very very doubtful. KGO, WLS, WABC, WJR & WMAL would bring fortunes. Not fire sale prices.

Citadel Media needs to unload the ABC Radio Network and the second tier ABC stations.

Larry Wilson and Farid?

That would be a hoot. "Hey Farid, you and Judy sure did a fine job taking a company down the hole."

Word from numerous sources is Wilson wants to concentrate on buying stations in the west. A few finance people have said that if Citadel unloads its stations, they will not be parceled, but sold as a whole, perhaps parceled afterwards by the buyer. More than a few sources have reported that Disney will have something to say about any sale.

And then there's the financing. Ain't like lenders are lining up to throw cash at buyers. Wilson and a few others got financing, but Wilson didn't buy an entire company, he's buying clusters, apparently at the right price.

September 15th is an important date on the Citadel calendar. So is January. Tick, tick, boom.
