BIG MIKE PATRICK, FROGGY 107.1

I have not heard Big Mike Patrick on Froggy 107.1, Corinth-Glens Falls for a few weeks now. He still is pictured and listed on the website. I heard about a week ago a promo for his morning show paired with Kate. Is it that he has left the station? Might he be on medical leave? Might he be on another Pamal station? Anyone know?
 
I feel as if I can finally answer that question. On June 28th, I was involved in a very bad car accident heading to work on the Northway from my home in Rotterdam to Glens Falls.
Multiple broken bones etc laid me up till I got officialy clearance yesterday.
This was the second accident this year, both cars getting totaled. I don't believe third time would be the charm.
That being said, I have submitted my resignation to the Company. Various medical people as well as my family have told me after two and a half years of this, enough is enough.
At this point in my career, I absolutely NEED to have a gig closer to home.
Tough as times are, I'm putting myself on the market. Anyone with suggestions/leads/help please contact me.

Mike, it is unfortunate that you have had such a rough time of it. Yes, driving from Rotterdam to GF every day about 65 miles would have to wear on you even with out accidents. Hope you can find something close by. Myself, I drive from t/Providence to S GF every day, guess I should be happy I only drive 27 miles and have a company car. I did however have my previous company car totaled during the workday in January by a kid with a suspended license( a rear-ender). Luckily, I was not injured. I think that Kate has been and will continue to do a very good job with morning drive as a solo if management decides to leave it that way. She is a fine radio personality. Good luck on finding a new source of employment, it will be tough.
 
Hey Mike, Just a thought and pardon me if this has already put into consideration, but isn't this an ABC company? And why couldn't you transfer to Latham's station?

Missing you on Froggy, Mike. Hope things work out for you. The morning show is still good, but not the same. Hopefully I'll hear you on an Albany station soon. Stay healthy.
 
You and me both Ed, thanks for the kind words. I am exploring a number of other options, however radio will always be my mistress (damn that sounded a little creepy).
