BIG O ON WTFL IS THE KING OF DOLPHIN TALK

Actually 640's call letters are WMEN!! They quickly whisper it at ID time.

I don't think that 640 even goes by "WFTL" as slang anymore. I always hear "640 Sports." The only mention of "WFTL" anymore is in the Big O theme song, and I guess they don't wanna make the singers change it now.

The real WFTL is on AM 850. There was a time when James Crystal (I suppose) wanted all their AM's (640, 850, 1400) to call themselves "WFTL" to enter in the book. Maybe PPM changed things.

I don't agree with a lot of Big O's non-sports-related opinions, but when it comes to sports, at least he has been up front about who's good and who stinks. I don't think he gets a lot of interviews with the star athletes, because he does shoot from the hip.
