(in my thought bubble)

"Cool, baseball season is in full gear, and I can listen to the Big Show for some baseball talk. Oh cool, Sean McAdam is on, AWESOME! Wait sec....who the heck is that on with him, it sounds like some egotistical blowhard ex-football player who it would make total sense for him to be on during football season, but alas, it isn't. It is baseball season. Why is he on yet again? Oh, he bribes them for on air appearances in exchange for free steak....I get it now"

God I can't wait for 98.5, so off to ESPN Radio for now

Well, he's on because they can't get anyone better. With all the media types and ex-athletes in the area, you'd think they'd work a little (pay a bit better) to attract talent. But, instead the continue to trot out losers whose opinion and thoughts no one cares about.

Honestly, there aren't more than a very few co-hosts that are worth listening to.

I'd settle for McAdam and Merloni every day...with Tom Caron thrown in here and there

Could have fooled me. It is football season now. Actually it's football season and Sox choke time season.
I am sick of whiny Sox fans. Nov /Dec 2003, day after day talk of A-rod while the Pats were making a run at the SB. Your position on that was ?
I hope the new "Hub" will show a Patriot bias and separate themselves from WEEI

hmm, is it sad or funny when someone posts dribble...I can't tell

Anyhoo...no, it's not football season. If it is, who are they playing sunday. I'll answer that for ya....no one, because it's not foo-ball season.

Now, about the A-Rod thing (and BTW, lulz at that you had to go back years to find something) it was news at the time because of the impending possible trade opportunities. That's why it was discussed.

toodles

the week that the training camp opens, it's Patriots season. I tune out when Smerlas is on anytime but there's no reason you can't discuss both. And speaking of choking--World Series champs in '07 and one game away from the World Series last year. We'll see what happens this year but they're the only team to win two World Series this decade.

You should be able to tell.
Whining about the alleged lack of Sox talk in the Boston market is pretty sad. Even more so when your issue is you just don't like Steve and Fred. Which is fine, but to try and disguise it as something else is silly
What next ?
Complaints about the alleged lack of right wing talk hosts or rock stations in the Boston market ?

I don't listen full time to WEEI anymore due to that issue, that's why I go so far back.
Even after the trade died the whiny Sox fans went on for weeks on WEEI about how baseball needs a salary cap. Not much talk about the salary cap now though, wonder why.

Yes exactly. Come March, Max and a Sox expert will share the stage. No big thing.
Ignore my "choke" comment, just zinging a hardcore Sox fan.

I wouldn't call it a "bias" they do the games. It's a vested interest and being an outstanding franchise, a very good property to have. All you will hear from EEI (D&C in particular) is that BZ isn't objective enough.
Red Sox will always be the #1 topic of conversation though (year round). Pats station, or not.

BZ-FM has been a minor disappointment so far. I hope things go well and they get off to a good start. At least we know they'll sound great.

It's "drivel." Dribble is what you do with a basketball.

wow, so what's with the quick breaks? I mean it's great that they are doing it and are being spared the 30 commercial breaks....but why now?

Oh, heaven forbid if it's 'TC.' Have you ever heard of a guy in love with his own voice more than Tom Caron? And it's an irritating voice to listen to, too. During the Red Sox pre- and post-game shows, TC is known for his long, drawn-out filibusters that start out as questions but somewhere along the line turn into editorials.

He's massively irritating.
