<font color=3333ff>SHOCKER! Big Sue left KXHT to go to KRRQ to work with D-Rock!!!!!

This means a few things.... Either she had enough with Memphis after the shooting at the station, she got a HUGE offer, she mighta been involved in payola when the station had major spins of local songs (which I really miss!), or Flinn wants to kill the station after the shooting (I really really hope not)!

Certainly, any of those could be possible. However, there are some other possibilities as well. Memphis to Lafayette, while normally a step down, isn't necessarily as substantial a step down as it may look. It might even be a step up if she gets a management position there. After all, Lafayette is still a continuously measured market, and moves like this aren't as uncommon as you might think. Some are forced, but many are also voluntary. Sometimes, you have to take a step down in order to get to the next step up. Other times, you just reach a point of diminishing returns at a job, and it's simply time to go somewhere (anywhere!) else.

Here are some other possibilities: She liked working for D-Rock at Hot 107.1 much better than the current Hot 107.1 PD. She wanted a change of scenery. Lafayette could also be closer to family or some other personal reason. Citadel is a much bigger (and, in my opinion, a much better) company than Flinn; she may have felt she would be treated better by Citadel. She was offered expanded duties at KRRQ putting her on a better career path. She felt Citadel would give her a better long-term career path as it is a bigger company with more opportunity.

Maybe she got tired of dressing and undressing those mannequins

<font color=3333ff>Makes sense, Kent! Good ideas. Cuz uh, she's been there for a long time so it could be something about time for a change. To what I know, Hot don't have a PD and aint have one since D-Rock left. She was the MD and maybe was overloaded with work. Who knows. And now with Citadel picking up ABC it's getting to be a big company.

She's a great personality and always brings enthusiasm to her job and I wish her the best. She will be missed!

Don't forget Citadel is returning to streaming. You'll likely soon get a chance to listen to Big Sue online.
