Just wanted to say Big Tigger in Atlanta on V-103 sounds great! Not sure about the new Ryan Cameron morning show since Frank Ski left but I hear a lot of people talking about the FRESH station.

I haven't had a chance to listen to Ryan's entire show, but I heard a female along with him. I still can't get into Big Tigger's show personally. IMO, he's more of a DC, Philly, NYC type of jock.

Maybe thats what I'm used to. I haven't heard Ryan's show at all. Just listening online to Tigger. Whats an Atlanta jock do different?

I'm not sure what an "Atlanta type of jock" is either and I've been in this city for a minute. Neither Ryan nor Tigger has chosen a female co-host for their shows. V-103 has done a decent job on transitions but they do need to add some strong female voices to the regular weekday personalities.

Tigger had Kendra G in there one day and she sounded good. maybe Free from WPGC will make the move.

In reference to me saying he's not an Atlanta jock simply means I don't hear the connection to listeners and our Urban music scene. Sure he's new, but I guess I'm just familiar with him on BET and DC airwaves. Kendra G does sound great on the radio and her energy on Saturday evening was great!

I understand where you are coming from, but him and Egypt are both relatively new to the city altogether. Aside from the artists from here that made it nationally they probably won't have much of a connection. That takes time like with Greg Street, whom isn't a native, but is loved by most here now.

Kila, what are they doing as far as the "Quiet Storm"? Is is a slow jamz mixshow on certain nights hosted by that male exotic stripper dude?

Haha...funny you ask. For now, the "Quiet Storm" is basically 3 of the 4 hours jockless, but the 1AM hour is hosted by anybody basically. Nobody is the dedicated jock/jocks for anything 10PM-6AM anymore. Bubby Love is back doing overnights, but Luscious (the male stripper) is the primary person from 1-6AM these days. The slow jams mix is only on Sunday nights from 9-11PM. I don't know why Reggie Rouse & Rick Caffety refuses to give the slot to Terry Bello.

Is the overnight jock live or tracked?

I believe V103 overnights are live. I've heard them giving away tickets at 2:30am.

It's safe to say that V-103 has taken up where their sister station, WPGC, left off as a leading urban of the group. This includes their habit of now having no dedicated personalities outside of their 6AM-10PM weekday timeslots.

Most of CBS`s other CHR/Urban stations are POP or crossover stations the only straight up Urban`s are Two V-103(Atlanta) and Power 98(Charlotte) the rest are not Urban`s including WPGC.

I know, but if you look at V-103's habits nowadays, they mirror WPGC's habits from 1997-2007 in regards to programming.

Reggie Rouse is running that station and I think V-103 is one of the best Urban contemporary's in the country. SOunds great!

On an interesting note, Kenny Burns has been M.I.A. as of late. His weekend timeslot (Saturday 2-6PM and Sunday 3-6PM) has been occupied by Ramona DeBreaux and Sytonnia Moore respectively since the most weekends since first of the year. However, he is still considered apart of the station's personalities though along with his posting on their site itself. I know he is an event promoter by profession but he was being prepped to step up to a larger role with the station prior to...

When Kenny Burns with filling in for Frank Ski several months back, he kind of sounded like he thought he'd be getting a full-time slot in the near future.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Since then, he has rarely on the air on weekends doing his shifts.
