I've had it with these weather forecast. Ooh! it's snowing! Ooohh! Why the big deal? It's cold. It's snowing. Get over it! The way these people talk it's like a Nuclear war just hit.

I don't wanna know if and when it's gonna snow. I don't wanna hear about icy roads. Weatherman you bring me down. Sensationalize and exaggerate to advance your career. Storm tracker doppler merchant of fear.

If you think TV "meteorologists" and reporters are bad in Philly, take a look at the ones on NYC local news. Talk about sensationalizing and exaggerating the weather...these guys in NYC deliver an unparalleled dramatic style to a little bit of rain and snow. Everyone is desperate for ratings these days, with the media leading the pack. Over the years, I've just learned to turn it off. I get my weather forecasts, along with every other bit of news/sports/finances, from online…not TV!

It would have been nice if PennDOT knew it was gointg to snow. Driving at 7am around West Chester this morning...

In the northern states, snow is a fact of life, just like rain. Unless there's a blizzard, if it's going to snow, just say so and move on -- don't treat it like JFK's assassination or the 9/11 attacks.

In October of last year, our local Hartford CBS affiliate (WFSB) had a lead 11pm story about the first FROST of the year. I kid you not. They had some poor reporter out in a pumpkin patch talking about how it was going to get below 32 that night.

It was the LEAD STORY!

Somehow, a lot of us here in Connecticut survived to tell the tale :)
