Bigger plans for WFLA'S On the Grill?

Starting this Saturday, Tony Fatso's On the Grill on WFLA will syndicate to its first affiliate. It's internally through CC, like MJ's show, but I wonder if CC is eyeing this show for any type of bigger roll-out. How is the syndication game for weekend shows these days anyway? Seems many stations are increasing their brokered time on weekends. WIOD Miami being a big example.

Well, last I checked, the one and only "Jesus Christ" got a weekend show syndicated by Clear Channel. So things must be looking good for weekend syndication!

His show had been picked up by a Melbourne station previously. Was that only a temporary thing?

It's a decent show ... a fine way to kill a few airtime hours on the weekends.

That's one of Premiere's offerings. It was originally a local show on KFI 640, spinning off from the Bill Handel morning show.

WIOD in Miami was carrying it briefly, but dropped it and other syndicated weekend shows like Cigar Dave for infomercials.
