Have any radio stations been covering this incident? IT's all over the TV networks, curious how the airwaves are handling it with longer break times..

As someone who nearly gets side swiped by these moronic tards going 110 on the parkway, I have no sympathy what soever for the guy who got mowed down. wish more of them would have learned their lesson the hard way. Apparently these 'gang rides' are becoming a new thing across the country, only this one specializes in 'stuntz'. I guess running traffic lights, nearly hitting pedestrians, and going on sidewalks counts as stunts.

One would think the NYPD would be able to scan social media and get them at their meetup point before they even get on the road.
Did anyone run into these unfortunate bastards?

I will preface this by saying, of course, not all bikers are bad. But 96% of the ones I seem to run into, including ones that like to go 0-80 on their crotch rockets in residential spaces...deserve to be run off the road.
 
I saw a clip on TV network news last night and they devoted very little time to it. I'm waiting to see if there is a "back story" but what I saw led the viewer to believe the motorist was something of a victim. Will the bikers tell a different story?

I came away from the story wondering: if I were driving the freeway.... in an isolated area and had a "bump-up" like that... what would I do? Stop with the expectation of exchanging names and drivers license info and calling the police? Or would I look around me and say: "This does not look good! I better get the hell out of Dodge!" which I gather from the video is what the vehicle driver did. The good news appears to be that the final encounter between 4-wheel vehicle and 2-wheel vehicle happened in a very crowed area with a lot of people around as witnesses.... and hopefully as helpers.

Scary. I live not far from the Blue Ridge. We have some nearby roads that bikers love. And weekends can get crowded. I've stopped at overlooks and had conversation with some. Most of them are friendly... even to the point of gregarious. But they have a tradition of dressing in such a way that leaves you wondering: Which one is the son-in-law of a car dealer just out enjoying the two-wheel play-thing, and which one is the thug?

To bring the topic back to radio coverage. It will be interesting to see if radio just covers the dramatic event and we never hear anything else, or will they do followup coverage when people appear in court, when people file lawsuits, when court cases, both criminal and civil run their course.

here's what I don't get...lets assume for the moment that the car hit the bikers BEFORE the video started. IF that was the case, why not show that incident and post it online so you don't get a bunch of angry people....who have already had lots of run ins with these dickweeds...coming after you? most folks think there is more before and after that video started, and if you look online, there is a whole 17 minute clip out there..so more footage is bound to exist, if it didn't get destroyed.

There are also other YT clips of entitled nitro bikers banging through red lights, and beating up cars who have the right of way. I don't buy the bikers side of the story for an instant.

In the clip I saw on network news, you see the bikers overtake the car, surround it, get it front of it. The first hit is when the car hits a motorcycle that is in front of the car, and slows down. Did the bike brake too abruptly, where the riders along side of the car giving some kind of hand-signals to the driver of the car to stop or to more over? Did the driver pay too much attention to some one riding beside him and run into the one in front of him that he did not realize was there? Did the bikers provoke or scare the driver during some event before the video started?

Who was taking the video? It appeared to be taken from the perspective of a motor cycle. Did the person who took the video offer itr to the media? If the bikers were up to mischief and mayhem, why wouldn't they hide or destroy the video? Did the police do a search and confiscate the video?

We may be a long time understanding this event.
