BILBAT again!

An old topic renewed!

Rumors around say an LMA is in place once again for WKPQ! Has anyone heard if this is true or not?

Do you mean other then the one Terry Gillis, the property owner, has with Bill "Wolf" Berry?

Perhaps, Ms. Media, if you could provide some more information as to this "rumor" someone might be able to substantiate it. All we know right now is that Terry Gilles was NOT the name you heard.

No need to get snotty!

Rumor has it, Pfuntner is still involved and has brought in Kevin White (former GM at WNKI) to hold the LMA for him.

Any substantiation?????

My apologies if my post sounded snotty. It wasn't meant to be. I have heard nothing of the Pfuntner connection. I'll check with my sources later today.

My sources haven't heard of any rumors either. If I do hear anything I'll let you know. Happy Memorial Day all. Enjoy your weekend.

All I've got to say is, let's hope none of this is true!

I'm sorry to tell you, Mr. Pfuntner. You can't own every radio station in the region. As much as I know you would like to.

Bill "Wolf" Berry still owns the FCC License. And Terry Gillis still owns all the property including the studio & transmitter and all station equipment. Something is happening, but my sources tell me that Pfuntner is not involved. It will all be public in about 10-14 days from what I'm told. If what I'm told is correct, this is going to be a really good thing for Power 105.3 WKPQ.

How about Backyard??? It would make sense to some extent. Simulcast KPQ and one of the Elmira area Class A's.

KF

While I hope that Backyard doesn't buy the station, I would think they would flip it to a simulcast of either WNKI, or maybe WPIG from Olean, as neither station can be heard well in the primary area served by the KPQ signal.

Sabercom, the former owners of the cluster currently run by Backyard, once came close to acquiring WKPQ/WHHO about a decade ago. But that deal also apparently fell through.

My inside sources tell me that there is NO PFUNTNER or BACKYARD involvement. But something really good is happening there later in June. I was sworn to secrecy so thats all I can say for now. :-X Stay tuned,..film at 11.

Its getting pretty late in June .... hows that "something really good" stuff going????

We've passed the end of June, and it's approaching Midnight. Any updates anyone know of?
