Bill Carroll - Thoughts on New Show??

Any thoughts about Bill Carroll so far?

I like him, but he just seems like another angry, middle aged, white guy on KFI. Same topics, same rants, same anger.

KFI's saving grace is Tim Conway, Jr. At least he does not sound like an angry white guy. His approach has a mellow and funny twist to it.

You're right on - on both counts. Didn't expect to like TCjr, but he's growing on me. He plays much better on weeknights than weekend afternoons.

I haven't listened to Bill Carroll and really don't plan to. Last thing I need is another cookie cutter guy that sounds like the one before and the one before. No wonder John and Ken, Bill Handel are the best. They are different. They torment the boobs on both sides of the political spectrum.

As for Tim Conway Jr. The guy is a mental idiot. A few weeks ago he was claiming businesses are to be trusted and we should let companies do anything they want. Then last night he was kissing Obama for passing the credit card bill. Make up your mind? Either companies can do whatever they want or they can't and we should have regulation. But because he abused credit cards he openly welcomes the relief this act offers. So he is a freaking liberal only when it affects him but otherwise he's a conservative. What an idiot.

I think Bill Carroll was a good pick-up for KFI. He is a great personality and he sounds like KFI. He is much better than a second Bill Handel show for the day!

And, why is CC still running Handel nationally? He is still being advertised on the Premiere Radio Networks website even though his show is repeats and is definitely ending soon.

What's strange to me is Premiere is still feeding out Bill Handel from Noon to 2. They're reruns, but they haven't stopped the feed.

Not strange, since they are not syndicating the new guy they are just giving the stations that signed on time to replace Handel. The replay feed will in all likelihood cease in another week or so.

I have only listened, on line, once and he seems less pompous and loud then Rush and with less phony outrage than John and Ken. Probably what they had in mind when way back they signed on Ziegler to follow The Dynamic Duo. He won't upstage J & K and he can possibly retain a few of Rush's fans so all in all it appears a good transition.

What is strange to me is that they didn't scale back John and Ken and have the Bill Carroll on for three and not two hours. I guess they are recycling an hour or two of John and Ken, they used to before, when Dr. Laura was on, replay the first and sometime the second hours. I would imagine now that they are replaying two or three.

I didn't find him that interesting or have any kind of spark or connection with the audience.

Can we just make him temporary? My co-worker has been calling the "Duhll Carroll Show"

I think I'll go and look for my I-Pod and put it on when he comes on.
