What does Bill Cunningham know about anything... aside from being a loudmouth about everything...

Apparently Crap sells and EVERYONE is buying...

Umm... he knows how to get and hold an audience and win a couple Marconi Awards. You may not agree with his politics but you can't deny his success. It is hard for many people to distinguish between the two.

He knows how to play the role of a phony conservative talk show host. That's all. Did they really put lipstick on a pig? This TV show won't last.

Here is the odd thing. What made Willie a radio success is exactly what they won't let him do on television, politics and the rants.
They are trying to remake him into something he is not.
He certainly does not have the looks for TV, either.

This may be a short lived show.

Did anyone watch the show? Was it better than "Big Willie" or whatever show he did a test run on last summer?

I watched the 1st few minutes. Very boring intro. Kind of a watered-down "Springer." Probably better than the disaster known as "Cincinnality." I could have told Fox 19 to not even bother putting that on.

Only one comment or question if you will. Whoda thunk it that Jerry Springer would have lasted for so long? If you capture an audience then you do if you get ignored then you don't, only time will tell.

Let's see, and what was Springer's targeted demographic audience? Mostly lower white class and others that fit that mold.

Crap sells and everyone buys, especially if it smells good.

Wouldn't it be great to hear Bill Cunningham utter the words that were made famous by Maury Povich"

"When it comes to 2 year old Dante... Shinachwah... you ARE the father!" ::)

Shock TV is so over-rated anymore. Didn't TV learn it's lessons from Morton Downey, Jr. yet?

:-[

I guess good ol' Willie has to keep his audience in tune somehow.. and cater to all of those people who don't get to listen to him on "The Big One"....

:-\

I would not bet against Willie. He's got a pretty good track record of success. It's amazing how quick some people are in wanting to tear someone down. If your resume holds better than Lawyer, Talk Show Host, Syndicated Talk Show host, Restaurant owner and now TV Talk Show Host, I say, have at it with being critical. Otherwise, you look a little silly!

The guy knows how to be successful. If he fails at this, big deal!

Not tearing him down. I've always been a fan of Cunningham.
My contention is that these producers find a talent and then alter their "schtick" so drastically, they are doomed to fail.
I thought that they were going to let Cunningham be Cunningham. That is what makes him work. He is unique.
When i saw that quote about "if he talks politics, l'll break his neck" or words to that effect, i thought uh oh....
It like when Pepsi bought KFC. One day the new hot shots were in a conference room talking about raising profitability.
The conversation focused on that expensive 11 herbs and spices, thing. Just about then, Sanders was walking down the hall and overheard the discussion. Busting into the room, he bellowed "don't f@(k with the recipe!". They didn't.
I suggest they hired Bill for what he is, don't mess with the recipe....

Man, Willie's got a face for the telegraph, certainly not for TV. WTH were they thinking?

The show I saw part of Tuesday had two hot 23 year old identical twins who bickered over who weighed the least.

That's topical?

This will go away fast and probably should.

Willie is great on the radio. He should stay there.

Do not attempt to adjust your television set. WE are controlling transmission. We can focus in with crystal clarity (NOOO! NOT on his FACE!) It's the awe and mystery that runs from the inner mind to....The Outer Willie! ;D
