I was just informed that Bill Dial has died. Most of you may remember Bill at the WKRP engineer Bucky Dornster. Bill was also credited with the line that TV Guide has called the most funniest line in the history of TV, "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly"

Bill was retired and was living off the coast of South Carolina.

As Chief for WKRP when the calls were in North Vernon Indiana I note the positive presence the charachter presented (and oh so real) to our profession.

Turkeys can't fly? Where you livin'?

You were chief up there when Pete Boyce owned the station?

After pete sold it to Alan I was chief until White River bought it and Jerry Mathis became Chief.

Despite the "problem" with the calls I thought it was a hoot.
