Bill Dollar who use to work production and on air fill-ins for Y106,is now working at I-92 in Montgomery,Alabama. He is the mid-day personaltty and programing director. Ironically this is the station Rhubarb Jones worked at before he came to WYAY.
He is a nice guy,he went to South 107 to be pd up there and did afternoons, then he left about three years ago. I hope they keep him,but if not hopefully a station arround here will pick him up.
Bill Dollar is still alive and functioning and I am dealing with (like so many others) othe reduction in staff in Montgomery, AL. In reference to coming back to ATL...are there going to be any full-time jobs left when the dust settles and the economy recovers?
My very first rejection letter came from Bill Dollar. I still have it! He was very gracious, polite, and wished me well in my search for radio work. The fact that he took the time to drop a letter in the mail says a lot (and not just about the crappy air check I sent him).
Bill Dollar emailed me to thank me for my post on here. He said Shaana Vaughn who does mid-days at WNGC in athens told him abpout the post. Bill Dollar you are a class act my friend.
