Bill Engvall Show airing on CBS

I want to know why TBS is pushing this show so hard. They must be paying Engvall a butt load of money. Too bad the promos and over exposure will kill it. Can anyone say Garth Brooks?

Yes, and TBS just did that extremely annoying promo of death where he pauses the screen. ENOUGH ALREADY!! :(

I guess this means we should expect Bill to "pop up" during CSI now!

That Tivo I got about five years ago is looking like a better and better investment as time goes on.

With "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" doing well, TBS is probably hoping its other home-grown comedies gets plenty of exposure. They are on a bit of a roll ratings wise, and every bit of cross-promotion has probably helped.

Even if you hate the show (or more likely, the show's promos), you know who is in the show, what time it airs, and what network/channel to watch it on. It's no different than USA reminding you of the new "Burn Notice" episodes and "In Harm's Way".

Who the heck is Bill Engvall anyways? I've never heard of the guy until the network starting running ads for his show. And from what previews I've seen there is nothing special about the guy. Well at least it's not another reality show or a clone of CSI or Law & Order.

Engvall is a standup comic along the lines of Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy. His stamdup "gimmick" which was a minor national catchphrase a few years ago, was "Here's Your Sign"
