What's the story behind Bill Evans leaving ABC to manage a radio station? I would think being the senior meteorologist, with plenty of on-air time on TV, would make up for his early hours.
 
He and his wife bought a radio station on Long Island, WLNG. I do not know what inspired them to make the leap into station ownership, but it is a bit more than "managing a radio station". There's a thread on WLNG an the changes the Evans have made on the New York radio board.
