Bill Evans no longer on WPLJ

Bill Evans just said on his weather message board that he is no longer working at WPLJ.He said he no longer works there "because of the tough economic times we are in"He and Joe Nolan were great with Scott and Todd on The Big Show. Well at least they are stil on ABC7.
 
Yep, shows how much attention I paid...

I normally fast forward through the News and weather anyway since I listen on delay, and since Bill is known to take extended vacations, I didn't realize he was gone till they said it..

Such a shame, too. I'd rather they get rid of that idiot perez hilton, considering Patty already does a better job covering gossip than he does. Now they have two gossip people and no weather guy....perfect :)..

I believe Perez does a syndicated feature - is that how PLJ runs it, or does he do it live?
 
They used to have him on live, for about a week and a half.....but was so unprofessional that they eventually gave up after a week or so and started to
pre-record him. How much is pre-recorded specifically for PLJ, who knows.

But on his first two days, he didn't even call in on time. Monkey Boy, their producer, spent about 2 hours trying to track
him down... Heh, any other job he would have been fired out right for that alone...

Bill has been with the show for at least the last 12 years, and actually has a specific purpose.
If Perez doesn't actually get paid for his gig, it wouldn't matter as much..

But still, every station needs a weather guy...
