What's the story behind Bill Handel's sign off at the end of his morning show on KFI 640 (more stimulating talk radio). He's doing a goof on Frosty, Heidie & Frank's apology schtick. I'm sure it's all in fun, but what led up to it? Cannot find info on KFI's site.

This goes back to the good Handel did concerning the deaths of hundreds of Muslims in a stampede on pligramidge to Mecca, in which Handel and his partner in crime Paul T Wall did a fake traffic report on the incident.

A local Arab group called for Handel to apologize. Handel, in typical-KFI style, said he'd apologize if the group, CAIR, would denouce terrorism and acknowlege Isreal's right to exist. How ever, last Wednesday, he capitulated and offered and official apology, saying “The wound was very fresh for a lot of Muslims and the comments were out of line. And for that, I am sorry.” It was after that that they apperently started the after-show apologies ala Triplets.
