Bill Love on WYFF???

Behold: Cross+promotion in its purest form.
Boo-yeow,
Scooter Lesley.

I saw Bill Love on WYFF news reporting traffic that day.
I believe Jimmy Watt retired from WYFF.

Also about 2 weeks ago I saw former Weather Channel meteorologist Jeff Morrow
reporting the weather on WYFF...couldn't believe that.

So, Love gets the benefit of WYFF's audience...and WYFF gets the benefit of...uh...help me out here.

Hey MarkSC....They were going to ask the "Morning Starr" at Magic to do traffic but they could not keep up with who was at the mic this week

The truth here is this: Bill Love has had very little TV face-time. He has done better than most, and eventually, he will learn the craft. As we all know, it is good cross-promotion for EARTH FM; in which he is half of their Love & Hudson Morning Show.
What WYFF receives is a very talented Announcer for their Traffic Reports. Very few Radio Announcers can hold a candle to Bill Love. If you disagree, fine, but...I am a good judge of Air Talent. In this market, it is rather easy to say...because most of the Air Talent is questionable. Aside from K.C. Carson, the all the women are Awww-ful. The Planet, and WSPA have nothing. WFBC only has Hawk Harrison. WROQ does well with both Stoneman, and Hendrix...Larry Wilson needs more coaching. Both Countrys have well enough. MY is a joke, and THE ROAD easily falls short...with their alleged "National Talent". The prime Air Talents in this market are: Bill Love, Mark Hendrix, Hawk Harrison, Lee Alexander, & Gary Jackson.

I wish they would let Jack Roper do the weather again on WSPA rather than just ride around in that bathtub. But at least they let him cohost the morning show with that Kimberly girl, and he does do the "You don't know Jack" contest on Scene on 7. But I miss him doing the weather. Enough boring weather people on every channel.

Oddly enough, I can answer this: Jack Roper is a very charismatic personality, to say the least. Years ago, the owners of Channel 7, mistakenly, showed Jack the door because they didn't want anyone casting the weather, unless they were a "Licensed Meteorologist". That move took him out of Weather. However, the public out-cry was so huge, they had to sorta hire him back. They gave him his own show, "Your Carolina", so they could gracefully usher him into his retirement. However, he has not retired yet. Apparently, that personality turns revenue...advertising revenue. Reportedly, since becoming their mouthpiece, Bath Fitter, has tripled their business, with no surcease in sight. I agree! He had a very honest manner of casting the weather, that viewers trusted.
