Bill Macy, 97, played Maude's husband

Wow, I had absolutely no idea he was still alive.

William H. Macy had to go by that moniker because Bill Macy already had this one.
They are not related.

97 is a darned good run! RIP.

Loved that series...an offshoot of All In The Family, except the primary, Bea Arthur was liberal. Norman Lear was a genius. But this show would never have been a hit without Bill Macy, who played Maude's husband. I, too didn't know he was still alive, but what a nice long life.
