What is the sound Bill O'Reilly makes in Washington?

Answer: Nothing. (Radio SFX: Bird-Chirping)

Yesterday, Bill's Washington, D.C. radio station (WJFK,106.7 FM) dropped his show. (Radio SFX: Applause, applause)

That's right. The man who claims to be such a powerful force in America, is not heard on radio in the most powerful city in the world. (Cue: Steam's "Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-hey-hey-hey-goodbye!").

Funny, isn't it? Liberal talkers Stephanie Miller, Randi Rhodes, Ed Schultz, and even substitute newbies, Elayne Boosler and Merill Markoe, can be heard in the Nation's capital, but BillO can't.

I'm sure on Monday when he returns from vacation - his, and ours from him - the No-Spinster, who is never shy about telling the Folks™ about the failure of liberal radio, will be telling them about his own.

good riddance. I havent heard his radio show but his TV show is bad enough. Who is taking his spot?
 
Jim Rome. Not exactly a big step up. I like Rome, but his sidekicks, especially when they do remotes, go off the deep end.
 
Rome is way better than Oriley. He is good for a chuckle or two, Bill has never provided that. congrats DC.
 
I've always put O'Reilly at the upper end of the 2nd tier as a radio host. The radio show felt to me like an afterthought to a very effective TV show. Rome sounds like a good move.
