bill oreilly said that kgo had a host who blogged about Tony Snow...and said he hoped snow's guts would rot out...which host was this?

It was Karel - who spoke about this subject being mentoned by O'Reilly in the 8 p.m. hour last
Saturday (followng the leukemia drive). Karel said he had this posted on a blog (briefly) in
a context that, as he said, could be misinterpreted. So Karel had the posting about Tony Snow
reworked, but it was too late - someone had spotted the original posting and, apparently,
O'Reilly got wind of the original. I don't remember specifics, however...I just remember tuning
in happenstance and hearing Karel get animated about the subject. I want to say it was posted
on Arianna Huffington's blogsite.

Thank for info...I bet kgo doesn't replace Owens with oreilly

Any controversy aside, why would KGO do that?? Ronn Owens is a proven ratings leader and has been for...what...2 decades or more. KGO has never relied on syndicated hosts. Years ago, KGO was the first Bay Area station to run Rush Limbaugh - as a vacation fill in for Owens. Rush was already getting big numbers, but KGO rejected the show, and it ended up on KNBR. AS far as I know, Ronn's show has always beaten Rush in the ratings. With other talk stations coming on the air as competition - all with syndicated hosts - having LOCAL hosts is KGO's strength. It would be crazy for them to bring in syndicated talk shows at this time.

Owen's contract goes to 2012, unless Citedal buys him out. 60 days until the buyout or merger kicks in.
