Bill Shahan

There is not a personality in West Virginia that works harder than Bill Shahan. Bill could most likely run for mayor and get elected due to his popularity. This is one fine guy and a really good radio man!

Never heard of Bill Shahan so I take your word on him. But I do say if he is the hardest working personalty in West Virginia. then second place must go to Martinsburg's Tom Tucker. Tucker is not really my cup of tea but he has been in that market ( on WRNR-AM ) for ages and it seems whenever some new business comes to Martinsburg, Tucker is there. I can remember about 15 years ago he had made the move from WRNR to then WXVA-FM. Not only did the move make the local Martinsburg Journal newspaper ( rare do they give any space to any radio personality ). WXVA was so happy to have Tucker they even when as far as changing their format from light AC to oldies ( XVA's Greatest Hits ) just to satisfy Tucker and I don't think he was even their PD. Of course when Tucker went back to WRNR, the oldies on WXVA gave way to country music.

Tom Tucker is such a force at WRNR that if the day would come that he decides to hang up his headphones....chances are WRNR wouldn't be around for much longer. He really has that much power there.
