Bill "Troll" Tullis passes

Long time WTBS voiceover and production wizard Bill Tullis passed away Thursday night. Bill was one of the original jocks on Ed Shane's progressive formatted WPLO-FM. He handled audio on many early WTCG and WTBS shows including the infamous Bill Tush Early Morning Update and James Brown.
Troll was at the board on many award winning production projects including theme music for the Braves and the Olympics. We lost one of the good guys this week. Rest in peace my friend. Memorial service details TBA.

Jim Morrison as in 94Q?

Bill passed in his sleep early Saturday morning. We've scheduled a viewing at AS Turner and Sons in Decatur for Wednesday afternoon... more details to follow.

Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday 8/11 6p-8p @ A.S. Turner and Sons 2773 North Decatur Rd. Atlanta, 30033. A grave site service will be held Thursday August 12, 10am, at Melwood Cemetery 5170 E. Ponce de Leon Avenue Stone Mountain, GA. 30083.

Our friendship with Troll dates back to around 1970 when he and Walt Taylor were running one of the country's finest college radio stations in Valdosta. We will post a special "appreciation" sometime this week incorporating many of Bill's own comments and observations that were on his mind during the last months of his life.
