Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs

Is this a radio or a night-club format? The Billboard Charts page list states that its tabulation is based on sales, downloads, streaming, and airplay while the Dance/Electronic Songs page itself says its audience impressions, downloads, sales, and club play. Personally, I've never heard of this being a radio format, except maybe as a special program broadcast on the weekend (e.g. a Saturday night "dance party"), but I'm asking for clarification.

The chart was launched in 2013. As you pointed out, it is a chart that blends club play, airplay, sales, streaming, and digital downloads. Most of the songs charted on the list are core Dance tracks which includes songs that were previously recorded but non Dance songs and remixes of Pop, R&B, and/or Rock/Alternative are ineligible to chart.

Are there any commercial stations still doing EDM full-time, even as a placeholder between more lucrative formats, as iHeart did in Boston?
