Billboard on Airport Freeway

There is a billboard on the easbound side of Airport Freeway on the Euless/Fort Worth border near the south entrance to the airport that is currently vacant. However, you can see what used to be painted there before they started "wrapping" billboards and it is very faded but you can clearly see that it says IMUS IN THE MORNING ON 94.9 FM When was Imus on FM in D/FW and what was the format on 94.9 at the time? KEWS??

On my knus99.com/fmlist.html: Under KEWS (the waning last days after the all-news format was dropped): "Notable as "Talk": Don Imus (via satellite beginning 10/28/1996; moved to 1190 AM on 1/11/1997 after station swapping was complete.)"

That time frame is right in my Imus-listening wheelhouse. IMO the show jumped the shark when Cardinal O'Connor died.
