Billy Moore

According to his website (billymoore.com) he died last Thursday. Billy was the imaging voice for WZPL for a number of years in the 80s. He also did quite a bit of commercial voice work in the area.

This is sad.

If there was a concert commercial than ran in the 80's, chances are it had Bill Moore's voice on it.

I can still hear his booming voice in my head. I actually heard him call into the Smiley Morning Show when ZPL celebrated 20 years a while back. A true talent....he will be missed.

If anyone is interested, the obit was in The Star this morning. It says he was production director of WIBC at one time. Does anyone know if he is the voice of "Radio Indiana...WIBC, Indianapolis" that's played at the top of each hour? Never hit me until recently that it might be him.
